Video: Alyn Smith Maiden Speech, House of Commons

Today I gave my maiden speech to the House of Commons as the MP for Stirling. I’ve a mix of emotions in this place. I stood to be elected in order to stop Brexit. Arithmetically, this is appears not possible with this Parliament. Instead, MPs have voted by majority to proceed with Boris Johnson’s Brexit plans without the consent of the people of Scotland.
