Postal Votes Now Out for Local Elections

Local MP Alyn Smith is urging Stirling postal voters to use their voice in the 2022 local elections, to help the SNP deliver for our communities.

Postal ballots have been delivered to homes across Stirling, as households face an unprecedented squeeze on living standards and budgets.

The SNP campaign is focused on sending Boris Johnson a message on May 5th, to force his government into action and to take measures to ease the squeeze of skyrocketing costs of living.

Stirling SNP are standing 2 candidates in each of Stirling’s 7 wards, enough to form a majority council administration which can deliver greener, fairer and more prosperous communities.

Alyn Smith MP said:

‘With postal votes issued, and polling stations opening in a matter of weeks, our SNP candidates and activists have been hard at work campaigning in communities across Stirling.

‘Voters are fed up with the continuing squeeze to their household budgets, and the blatant inaction from the inept duo of Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak. The UK Government has the powers and means to take decisive steps to arrest falling living standards and stop millions more citizens falling into poverty – they’ve chosen not to.

‘Instead, their attention is focussed on the latest dead cat distraction plan to avoid scrutiny and cling to power. This upcoming election is an opportunity for voters to send the Tories a clear message and support progressive local SNP Councillors as they deliver a better future for Stirling.’
