A survey on how people are doing nearly 7-months into a global pandemic is being launched by Stirling MP Alyn Smith.

The survey is available online and can be found at www.alynsmith.scot/howareyou. It asks participants questions about how the pandemic has impacted their lives, place of work, and business, as well as asking for locals’ thoughts on what needs to  be done to keep people safe whilst supporting the economy.

Starting next week, a letter will be sent to every household in the constituency with the survey attached, as well as details on how to get in touch with Mr Smith and keep up to date on his work in Parliament and in the constituency.

For those not online who would like to respond to the survey, they are urged to fill out the physical copy with the letter to be posted back to Mr Smith’s office.

Alyn Smith MP said:

“Since the beginning of this pandemic, I’ve had contact from thousands of Stirling constituents. However, I’m conscious that not everyone facing difficulties will have automatically gotten in touch with their local MP.

“Running this survey will enable me to reach out to residents and ask for their views on how the pandemic has been handled so far at all levels of government, and what they feel needs to be done next to keep us all safe whilst protecting business.

“This is an important exercise, it is my firm belief that MPs should make themselves as available as possible to listen to the needs of the people they represent. On so many levels, this pandemic has been a defining moment for our society and our economy.

“I would urge everyone in the Stirling Constituency to share their views with me by responding to this survey. You don’t have to wait for a letter either, the survey is live now at www.alynsmith.scot/howareyou.”
