Stirling MP Alyn Smith has been made an honorary Scout, following his visit to the Raploch lodge last week.
The group, started by the local Rev. Barry Hughes, has now been running for over a year.
Mr Smith visited, took questions from the Beavers group, and presented official certificates to the group, including a leadership certificate for Scout Leader Zara Wilson (aged 16).
Rev. Barry Hughes made Mr Smith an Honorary Scout, with a Raploch Scouts neckerchief.
Commenting, Alyn Smith MP said:
‘It was great to visit the group, take questions from young people and present well-earned certificates. I am delighted to now be an honorary member of the Raploch Scouts.’
‘This local group has gone from strength to strength, and it’s down the the hard work, determination and dedication of Rev. Barry Hughes as well as many others across the local community.‘
