Allied Westminster, a major insurance provider to thousands of village halls across the UK, is setting up a new office in the Stirling area.
The company describes itself as: “a financially robust, growing, and successful business. For over 25 years Allied Westminster has been a pioneer in the design of specialist insurance management software and customer management systems, and in the integration of geographical information systems.”
The company began in London in 1989 and currently has its head office in West Yorkshire. Managing Director Gavin Mitchell said:
“This is a great place to work, and as a proud Scot, I am looking forward to being based in our new Stirling Office, and living in an area of such outstanding natural beauty. I am pleased to say we number a great many Village Hall Trustees as customers in Scotland, and have very close working relationship with AVIVA (our key UK-wide underwriter) in their Perth and Glasgow offices.”
Stirling MP Alyn Smith welcomed the announcement:
“This is good news for the Stirling area. Allied Westminster have done a lot of work across the UK, and their latest decision to open an office locally underlines that Stirling is very much the place to do business.
“I welcome Gavin and the team, and encourage many more companies like Allied Westminster to look to Stirling as the place to invest.”
